Bio:

A strong tie to history and culture lives in the blood of every dwarf. Rufus spent his early years indifferent to his ties to both his family and his home a Five Kings Mountain. As the second son of a moderately prominent family, he had few burdens placed on his shoulders.

This changed recently when his father, an undertaker and official in the Angradd church, was murdered under suspicious circumstances. At the same time, Rufus’ older brother and heir to his father’s estate went missing. In the attacks, Rufus was beaten and left for dead. He remembers nothing of the events but holds a face full of scars as his only reminder.

Rufus spent his life surrounded by death. He learned the value that the living placed on any tie they could find to their dead loved ones. This often took the form reverence for items and trinkets. Since he spent his formative years in an out of cemeteries, church, mausoleums, and the like, he never found this odd. A lifetime of involvement with the church and the business of death, coupled with the violent murder of his father and disappearance of his brother has created a scarred and broken psyche in young Rufus.

The inheritance of the estate can not be bestowed upon Rufus until either his brother is found dead, or a sufficient enough time has passed for the crown to declare him such. In the mean time, there is little left for Rufus to do but fend for himself. With too much time, and too much focus on death and relics, Rufus has set off for adventure…
